The
task in the next hour is to simplify at least one of the premises of my dissertation. I
have a loose outline of what I want to do, but I want to articulate the unstated assumption behind that. I also have a short amount
of time, so I'll have to choose a small section. I think I'll try to
write a few questions at first, then try to develop the most central or promising one. The
challenge of that will be integrating this new writing with old drafts. Another problem is that I have plenty of distractions for the writing period. But the good thing is that I can just slice off one part and call that progress.
